Aleem orders NHA to collaborate with foreign road experts

According to Dawn, Communications Minister Abdul Aleem Khan has directed the National Highway Authority (NHA) to work with foreign experts to improve road engineering and highway design. The directive came during a meeting in Islamabad where ongoing projects, revenue, and road safety were reviewed.

The minister stressed that protecting human lives must be the top priority. He expressed reservations about the design of the M-4 and other highways, saying roads should be green, safe, comfortable, and meet modern international standards.

Aleem also noted that the NHA had successfully met a revenue target set two years ago. He affirmed the authority would continue to focus on adopting international best practices for safer motorways.
