Six Palestinians killed in Gaza strikes, health officials report

According to Gaza health officials cited by Dawn, Israeli airstrikes on Wednesday killed at least six Palestinians and wounded others in separate incidents in Gaza City and Khan Younis. The officials reported that one strike on a vehicle killed four people, while other strikes on a residential apartment and near a mosque resulted in further fatalities.

The Israeli military did not immediately comment on the reported strikes. Israel has reportedly stepped up its strikes in recent weeks, claiming that Hamas has been rearming in violation of a ceasefire agreement brokered last year.

Hamas has denied attempting to carry out attacks or rebuild its arsenal, accusing Israel of undermining the peace deal. The US-brokered ceasefire, which called for Gaza's reconstruction, has seen little progress as negotiators have failed to agree on disarmament and troop withdrawal terms.
