UK airbase bomb probe finds no explosives, reports say

UK media reports, cited by Dawn, state that police found no traces of explosives during an investigation of three vans seized near Royal Air Force Fairford. The base in southwest England is used by United States military aircraft.

Five London-based British men in their mid-20s were arrested near the base on Sunday but were later released on bail. Dawn reports that Washington questioned the bail decision.

Police said they conducted an extensive examination of the vehicles with military and forensic help but did not disclose their findings. Armed police maintained a cordon and patrols around the area.
