US provides feedback to Iran via Qatar on seven-day trust-building plan

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has received US feedback on a proposed seven-day trust-building plan, delivered via Qatari mediators in Doha on Tuesday, Business Recorder reported, citing an official briefed on the talks.

The plan aims to restore normal maritime passage in the Strait of Hormuz and return both sides to an enhanced version of a June agreement, including steps on Iran's nuclear programme.

The main point of disagreement is reportedly the sequencing of the steps involved. Araqchi is expected to discuss the US response in Tehran on Wednesday.
