Karan Johar to end 'Koffee With Karan' chat show after ninth season

Karan Johar's celebrity talk show 'Koffee With Karan' will end after its upcoming ninth season, according to a report by Images, Dawn. The show, which began in 2004 and has run for 161 episodes over eight seasons so far, will stream its final season on JioHotstar starting October 14.

Johar told Variety that the show had been a large part of his identity, but he now wants to focus on directing more films. He said he was ending the show with a heavy heart to spend the next decade telling other stories.

The program became a primary source of Bollywood gossip, hosting major Indian stars from film and sports. Its conversations, often centred on personal relationships, frequently went viral.
