KP Government Directs Public and Private Buildings to Ensure Disability Access

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has directed all public and private institutions to ensure barrier-free access to their buildings and essential services for persons with disabilities, as reported by the Associated Press of Pakistan. The order was issued by the province's Department of Social Welfare, Special Education and Women Empowerment.

The directive requires institutions to provide safe and convenient access. It was issued on the instructions of an advisor to the chief minister, according to the APP report.
