According to Dawn, Pakistan's men's squash team has guaranteed at least a bronze medal at the Asian Games after beating South Korea 2-0 in the quarter-finals. The victory in Nagoya secured their place in the semi-finals.
Mohammad Ashab Irfan won the opening match against Na Jooyoung in three games. Pakistan's top-ranked player, Noor Zaman, then had the opportunity to seal the team tie against Seojin Oh.
In contrast, the campaign for the Pakistan women's squash team ended with a round-robin defeat to China.
