Raphinha leaves Brazil squad with thigh swelling

Raphinha has departed the Brazil squad after a scan showed swelling in his right thigh, Dawn reported, citing a statement from the Brazilian Football Confederation. He was substituted at halftime during a friendly win over Australia earlier this week.

The 29-year-old will miss Brazil's next match against India and will not be replaced in the squad. He has had previous fitness issues with the same leg, including a hamstring problem last season.

Raphinha had been in strong form for his club Barcelona this season. The Spanish side's next match is against Getafe on October 10.
