Saudi Arabia resumes Yanbu oil loadings after pipeline restart

Saudi Arabia has restarted oil tanker loadings from its Red Sea port of Yanbu, according to a report by Dawn. The resumption follows the restart of operations on the kingdom's East-West Pipeline.

The pipeline was shut on September 11 after a drone attack, which Saudi Arabia blamed on the Houthis, halting crude exports from Yanbu. Pipeline operations resumed last Tuesday.

The restart of loadings from Yanbu weighed on global oil prices on Monday, as it added to signs of increased flows from the Middle East. State oil giant Saudi Aramco notified customers of its October loading schedule from Yanbu on Monday evening.

European Space Agency satellite imagery from September 27 showed Saudi Arabia loading nearly 10 million barrels of crude, according to the Dawn report. Aramco did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
