Imran Khan's sisters on hunger strike in detention, relative says

According to a report by Dawn, three sisters of former prime minister Imran Khan are on a hunger strike. Their cousin, Qasim Zaman, said they began the protest 48 hours ago due to alleged misbehaviour during their detention.

Dawn reports that on Tuesday, Mr Zaman, interim PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, and Mr Khan's lawyers went to Adiala Jail but were not permitted to meet him. A PTI lawyer stated they waited from 2pm until 4:30pm without success.

The lawyer told Dawn it was tragic that jail authorities were violating court orders. While reports of the hunger strike had circulated, this was the first confirmation from a family member.
